Rosanna Walter Symons Pointed Towards 2015 World Pony Championships

Team Rosanna had a remarkable 2014 to say the least. Rosanna and the German Sports pony Donnerstern came third at the World Championships selection event at Catton Park. This achievement was followed by the National Championships in which Rosanna finished second. Beaten by less than a penalty, the pair had the fastest marathon time of the competition. Donnerston (Dodi) and Rosanna continued their success, finishing 8th at the CAI2* Breda, Netherlands, out of a strong international field of more than 30 drivers. The pair also won the marathon phase in impressive (and stylish) fashion.

After Donnerston’s owners decided to have the pony returned to them, Team Rosanna purchased a new pony from the Netherlands. Petit Hurricain is a black gelding Sports Pony with which Rosanna hopes to qualify for the 2015 World Pony Championships in September.

This season will also see the return of Dabernon Tiger Woods (aka Bailey) to top-level competition. Rosanna won a silver medal with Bailey at the World Pony Championships in 2013. Along with Petit Hurricain, Bailey is being registered to compete at the World Pony Championships selection process. However, should both ponies end up in the top three driver-pony combinations (classified by the best three final positions from the selection events), Rosanna may only compete one at the World Championships.

Rosanna started using SUCCEED a few years ago at her veterinarian’s recommendation when Davernon Tiger Woods showed signs of needing additional digestive support. She says that SUCCEED has played a key part in keeping her competition ponies in optimal health, allowing them to train in greater intensity and better handle the challenges of travel and competition.

Best wishes to Team Rosanna for a successful 2015, from everyone at Freedom Health.
