Lucinda and Lissa Green
Lucinda Green’s daughter Lissa has had a super start to the event season. With 3 horses to compete; 2 at BE100 (Daisyonfire & Boleybawn Free) and 1 at 2* level (CTS So What) she has certainly been very busy! Lissa has notched up 7 top ten placings already this year, and had a pleasing run with CTS So What at Belton CIC2*. Daisyonfire will be ready to move up a level after one more run at BE100. Lissa recently told us that “the horses are so funny with their SUCCEED – they LOVE it and keep grabbing it out my hand before I can take the lid off!” Lucinda has been very busy teaching in the US over the past month, but she will be picking up the reins with Cry Freedom when she gets back and heading out for some intermediate runs.
Chris King
Chris King has recently moved to a beautiful new yard (with indoor school!) to Lambourn, Berks and in addition to the event yard is also schooling racehorses. This latest venture has been set up with Yogi Briesner and is proving to be very successful.
Chris has got a super string of eventers this year, with 6 horses running at Intermediate and Advanced, and even with just two competitions under his belt so far this season has recorded several top 5 placings, and a win with Billy Buzz in the OI at Weston Park. Chris and his wife Zanie have used Succeed for several years after recommendation from the GB team vet. Chris and Zanie told us that they had two competitors come up to them at their last event and tell them how amazing their horses were looking, especially for the time of year.
Dessie Hughes at Cheltenham
Dessie Hughes, known to be one of the most consistent NH trainers in Ireland had a super Cheltenham Festival. Our Conor, who had been on Succeed for the previous 4 months provided an outstanding performance in the JCB Triumph Hurdle, winning by a huge 15 lengths, and was described as one of the week’s most impressive winners. Rare Bob, another horse which has been on SUCCEED over the past few months went on to finish a very pleasing 5th out of 40 starters in the coverted Grand National the following week. Dessie has found since using SUCCEED his horses are looking better, feeling better and performing better, and he wouldn’t now be without it.
Bill Levett
Bill has had a cracking start to the season, having managed to dodge most of the cancellations we have seen due to bad weather and is currently ranking as one of the top ten riders in British Eventing. Bill has several 3* horses at the moment, 3 of which finished in the top 20 CIC3* at Burnham Market and more recently Alex recorded a 5th in the CIC2* at Belton finishing on his dressage score. Bill’s horses have all been looking very smart this season in their new SUCCEED rugs, numnahs and team jackets.
Shannondale Titan (Alfie), one of Bill’s advanced rides has just ranked second in the BE points table for 2013. He’s had 3 out of 4 top ten placings already, and heads to Chatsworth International next. “Alfie has been on SUCCEED for a long time with us,” said Bill and Jenny Levett. “His condition and overall weight and health has been transformed with SUCCEED – he is currently ranked second in 2013 event horses.”
